Abstract:Objective To This study aims to analyze the impact of comfort care interventions on the psycho-logical state of patients with orthopedic trauma. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 78 patients with orthopedic trauma who visited the Emergency Department of our Hospital from January 2023 to June 2024.Based on the differences in nursing methods, the patients were divided into an observation group(comfort care interventions,39 cases)and a control group(conventional nursing interventions,39 cases). The two groups were compared in terms of negative psychological states, activities of daily living, trauma severity, and satisfaction with care. Results Prior to the nursing interventions, there were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of anxiety(SAS scores),depression(SDS scores),daily living abilities, psychological func-tion scores, social function scores, material living scores, and trauma severity(ISS scores)(P>0.05).After the in-terventions,both groups exhibited significant reductions in SAS,SDS,and ISS scores compared to pre-intervention levels(P<0.001),while scores for physical function, psychological function, social function, and material living significantly increased(P<0.001).Furthermore,the observation group showed a more pronounced decrease in SAS,SDS,and ISS scores post-intervention(P<0.001),along with a greater increase in physical function, psychological function, social function, and material living scores(P<0.001).In comparison to the control group, the observation group had significantly higher satisfaction with care, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Con-clusion Implementing comfort care interventions for patients with orthopedic trauma can significantly improve adverse psychological states, enhance daily living abil-ities,reduce trauma severity, and increase satisfaction with nursing care.
