Efficacy Observation of Danshen Injection Combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine Decoction in the Acute Phase of Cerebral Infarction

Abstract：Objective To explore the efficacy of Danshen injection combined with a blood-activating and stasis-resolving Chinese herbal decoction in the acute phase of cerebral infarction.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 70 acute cerebral infarction patients who visited Liping Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2021 to December 2024.Based on the treatment protocol,the patients were divided into two groups:the observation group(Danshen injection combined with blood-activating and sta-sis-resolving Chinese herbal decoction,n=35)and the control group(Danshen injection alone,n=35).The two groups were compared in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome scores,neurological function,activities of daily living(ADL),levels of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(CRP),S-100β protein(S100β),ho-mocysteine(Hcy),and clinical efficacy.Results Before treatment,there were no significant differences between the two groups in TCM syndrome scores for wind,phlegm,and stasis,neurological function as assessed by the NI-HSS score,ADL score,or biochemical indicators such as CRP,S100β,and Hey(P＞0.05).After treatment,the wind,phlegm,and stasis syndrome scores,NIHSS scores,CRP,S100β,and Hey levels were significantly reduced(P＜0.05)in both groups,while the ADL scores significantly increased(P＜0.001).Compared to the control group,the obser-vation group showed significantly lower wind,phlegm,and stasis syndrome scores,NIHSS scores,CRP,S100β,and Hcy levels(P＜0.001)and higher ADL scores(P＜0.001).The total clinical effective rate in the observation group was significantly higher than in the control group(97.14％vs.77.14％,P＜0.05).Conclusion Dan-shen injection combined with a blood-activating and stasis-resolving Chinese herbal decoction is effective in reducing TCM syndrome scores,promoting the recovery of neurological function and daily living abilities,low-ering serum levels of CRP,S100β,and Hey,and achieving a significant overall therapeutic effect in patients with acute cerebral infarction.
