Clinical Effect Analysis of Internal Fixation for Intertrochanteric Fracture of Femur

Abstract：Objective To analyze the clinical effects of different internal fixation surgical regimens in the treatment of intertrochanteric femoral fractures.Methods The clinical data of 62 patients with intertrochanteric femoral fracture who underwent internal fixation in the Department of Orthopedics of Kweichow Moutai Hospital from June 2022 to November 2024 were retrospectively analyzed.According to the different internal fixation meth-ods,they were divided into observation group(proximal femoral anti-rotation intramedullary nail internal fixation,n=31 cases)and control group(proximal femoral locking plate internal fixation,n=31 cases).The two groups were compared with the two groups in terms of surgery-related indexes,hip function recovery,bone metabolism index-es,quality of life improvement,and postoperative complications.Results The intraoperative blood loss of the subjects in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P＜0.001),and the operation time,hospital stay and time to first descent were significantly shorter than those in the control group(P＜0.005).The HHS scores of the subjects in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group at 3 months,6 months and 12 months after surgery(P＜0.05).Six months after surgery,the level of PIPP in the observa-tion group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05),and the level of CTX was significant-ly lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).At 12 months after surgery,the scores of physiological health,psychological state,social interaction and environment in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the overall incidence of complications be-tween the two groups(12.90％vs.19.35％,P=0.490).Conclusion Proximal femoral anti-rotation intramedul-lary nail fixation can effectively reduce intraoperative blood loss,shorten operation time and recovery time,and im-prove hip joint function,bone metabolism,and quality of life.
