Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinical characteristics, diagnosis, and treatment methods of trau-matic cerebral fat embolism, and to enhance clinical physicians' awareness of the diagnosis and treatment of this disease. Methods The method reports the diagnosis and treatment process of a case of traumatic cerebral fat embolism, and searches the China National Knowledge Infrastructure database using the keyword"cerebral fat embolism"from January 2004 to December 2024.Analyze and explore the clinical characteristics and diagnosis and treatment methods of complete medical records. Results A total of 71 articles were retrieved, and after ex-cluding non traumatic cases,23 cases with relatively complete clinical data were screened. This article reports 1 case, for a total of 24 cases. There were 19 males and 5 females.Three cases(12.5%)presented with typical triad, and 17 cases(70.8%)had a change in consciousness as the initial symptom.22 cases(91.7%)underwent head CT examination after changes in their condition,of which 19 cases(86.4%)showed no significant abnormalities;14 cases(58.3%)underwent cranial magnetic resonance imaging,of which 11 cases(78.6%)showed positive imaging findings on the first examination. All patients received symptomatic supportive treatment,of which 13 cases(54.2%)were cured. Conclusion When there are consciousness changes that cannot be explained by traumatic brain in-jury after trauma,we should be alert to the occurrence of cerebral fat embolism.Magnetic resonance imaging is an effective auxiliary diagnostic tool.At present, there is no specific drug to treat this disease, and supportive treatment is the main approach.
