Abstract:Objective To explore the role of the rapid response pre-hospital emergency care model in the rescue of patients with multiple injuries resulting from car accidents. Methods A retrospective study was con-ducted on 300 patients with multiple injuries from car accidents treated at the Xiamen City Medical Emergency Center between October 2022 and October 2024.The patients were randomly selected using simple random sam-pling.Based on the emergency care model, patients were divided into two groups:the observation group(rapid response pre-hospital emergency care model,n=1 50)and the control group(conventional emergency care model,n=150).The efficiency of various emergency care steps, activities of daily living(ADL),consciousness state,vi-tal signs, and rescue outcomes were compared between the two groups. Results In the observation group, the pre-hospital emergency response time, ambulance arrival time, patient handover time, condition assessment time, transport time, blood preparation time, triage time, time to the operating room, and physician arrival time were all significantly shorter than those in the control group(P<0.001).Before the intervention, there were no significant differences between the two groups in activities of daily living(Barthel Index),consciousness state(Glasgow Coma Scale,GCS),heart rate,or mean arterial pressure(P>0.05).After the intervention, both groups showed significant improvements in Barthel Index scores,GCS scores, and mean arterial pressure, and a significant decrease in heart rate(P<0.05).Additionally,the observation group had significantly higher Barthel Index scores,GCS scores, and mean arterial pressure(P<0.05),and significantly lower heart rate compared to the control group(P<0.001).Moreo-ver,the rescue success rate in the observation group was 96.00%,significantly higher than the 82.00%in the control group(P<0.001).Conclusion The rapid response pre-hospital emergency care model can shorten rescue time, improve rescue efficiency, and enhance activities of daily living, consciousness state, and vital signs in patients with multiple injuries from car accidents. Its effectiveness is clear.
