Abstract:Objective To investigate the impact of the emergency medical priority triage and dispatch sys-tem on the resuscitation rate of patients with pre-hospital cardiac arrest. Methods A simple random sampling method was used to select cases. The control group consisted of 100 patients with respiratory and cardiac arrest who received conventional emergency dispatch from March 2020 to April 2022.The observation group consisted of 100 patients with respiratory and cardiac arrest who were treated under the emergency medical priority triage and dispatch system from May 2022 to October 2024.A retrospective study was conducted on both groups, comparing the time of ambulance arrival, time of initial assessment,pre-hospital emergency time, transfer time to the hospi-tal,resuscitation outcomes, and satisfaction of the callers. Results The ambulance arrival time, time for initial assessment,pre-hospital emergency time, and transfer time to the hospital were significantly shorter in the obser-vation group compared to the control group(P<0.001).After emergency resuscitation, the resuscitation success rate in the observation group was 59.00%,significantly higher than the 24.00%in the control group(P<0.001).The total complication rate during transfer in the observation group was 32.00%,significantly lower than the 51.00%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The emergency medical priority triage and dispatch system can effectively improve the emergency response efficiency and success rate of resuscitation in pre-hospital patients with respirato-ry and cardiac arrest, while reducing the incidence of complications during transfer.
