Abstract:Objective To observe and evaluate the efficacy of combined moxibustion and acupuncture point embedding in the treatment of decreased ovarian reserve function. Methods A total of 60 patients with diminished ovarian reserve who visited the Second Affiliated Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2023 to January 2025 were selected as study subjects using simple random sampling. These subjects were randomly assigned to either the observation group(receiving combined moxibustion and acupunc-ture point embedding treatment,n=30)or the control group(receiving Western medical treatment,n=30)using a random number table.A comparison was made between the two groups in terms of clinical efficacy, hematological parameters, and Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome scores before and after treatment. Results After treatment, the overall clinical effective rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the con-trol group(93.33%vs.73.33%,P<0.05).Prior to treatment, there were no significant differences in serum levels of FSH,LH,and E2 between the two groups(P>0.05).Post-treatment,both groups exhibited significant reductions in FSH and LH levels, along with significant increases in E2 levels(P<0.05);the observation group showed lower FSH and LH levels and higher E2 levels compared to the control group, with these differences being statisti-cally significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the TCM syndrome scores significantly decreased in both groups, with the observation group showing lower scores than the control group,a difference that was statistically significant(P<0.001).Conclusion For patients with decreased ovarian reserve function, the combined therapy of moxi-bustion and acupuncture point embedding can improve hormone levels, alleviate TCM symptoms, and promote the recovery of ovarian reserve function.
