Application of Nursing Quality Indicator Control in Improving Emergency Hemodialysis Nursing Quality

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effectiveness of implementing a nursing quality indicator con-trol system in enhancing the quality of care for patients undergoing blood purification in the emergency depart-ment.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 94 patients scheduled for blood purification in the emergency department of Yixing People's Hospital,Jiangsu Province,from October 2022 to Oc-tober 2024.Based on the implementation of the nursing quality management program,patients were divided into an observation group(n=47)that received nursing quality indicator control and a control group(n=47)that received conventional nursing quality management.We compared the core competencies of nursing staff,process indicators,and outcome indicators before and after the implementation of the nursing quality management program.Re-sults After the implementation of the nursing quality management program,the scores for nursing staff core competencies(including nursing skills,professional development,leadership abilities,legal ethics,interpersonal communication,research thinking,and educational consultation)were significantly higher than those before the intervention(P＜0.05).Additionally,the triage accuracy,timeliness of re-assessment indicators,compliance rate of nursing records,and nursing satisfaction scores(including nursing techniques,proactive service,health guidance,monitoring,daily care,and overall satisfaction)were significantly improved compared to pre-implementation levels(P＜0.05).The occurrence rates of nursing defect events and complications in the control group were significantly lower than those in the observation group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The application of a nursing quality indicator control system in emergency blood purification management significantly enhances the core competencies of nurs-ing staff,improves triage accuracy,the timeliness of re-assessment indicators,compliance rates of nursing records,and nursing satisfaction,while reducing the risk of complications and nursing defect events.
