Abstract:Objective To investigate the therapeutic effects of Targeted Temperature Management(TTM)in patients with severe traumatic brain injury(TBI)complicated by trauma-induced coagulopathy(TIC).Methods A total of 46 patients with severe TBI and TIC admitted to Huishan District People's Hospital in Wuxi from June 2023 to June 2024 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group. The control group received standard temperature management, while the observation group underwent TTM.Results The observation group demonstrated significantly better outcomes in neurological function scores(GCS and NIHSS),intracranial pressure, cerebral blood flow, and efficacy assessments(GOS scores)compared to the control group(P<0.001).Additionally,the incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),with all differences being statistically significant. Conclusion TTM can improve neurological function scores, reduce intracranial pressure and cerebral blood flow, and decrease complication rates in patients with severe TBI complicated by TIC,thereby enhancing prognosis. It should be considered an important component in the treatment of this patient population.
