Abstract:Objective To analyze the effects of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery(ERAS)combined with five point lumbar and back muscle long-term exercise on lumbar spine function and quality of life in patients un-dergoing lumbar spine surgery. Methods Ninety patients who underwent intervertebral disc nucleus pulposus removal surgery at Changle District People's Hospital in Fuzhou City from January 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 45 patients in each group. The control group received routine rehabilitation nursing, while the observation group received rapid rehabilitation concept and five point lumbar and back muscle long-term exercise. The Japanese Orthopaedic Asso-ciation Scores(JOA)score,Oswestry Disability Index(ODI)score,Visual Analog Scale(VAS)score, lumbar spine physiological anterior convexity angle, and SF-36 quality of life score were analyzed after intervention. Results After intervention, the JOA score,SF-36 quality of life score, and lumbar physiological lordosis angle in the ob-servation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05);After a 3-month follow-up,the ODI score and VAS score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of rapid rehabilitation concept and long-term exercise of the five point lumbar and back muscles can further promote the recovery of lumbar function and improve the quality of life for patients with lumbar disc herni-ation.
