Abstract:Objective To evaluate the value of targeted nursing interventions for patients with acute respira-tory distress in emergency situations. Methods A total of 96 patients with acute respiratory distress, treated at Xiamen University First Affiliated Hospital,Xinglin Campus from January 2023 to December 2023,were included in the study.Based on differences in nursing models, patients were divided into a trial group(targeted nursing in-tervention)and a control group(routine nursing intervention),with 48 patients in each group.Blood gas indices, adverse emotions, clinical efficacy, and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results Prior to intervention, there were no significant differences between the two groups in blood gas indices PaO2 and PaCO2,or in adverse emotions such as anxiety and depression(P>0.05).After intervention, improvements were observed in blood gas indices and adverse emotions for both groups. The trial group had significantly higher PaO2(P<0.001)and lower PaCO2(P<0.001)compared to the control group.Additionally,SAS(P<0.001)and SDS(P<0.001)scores were significantly lower in the trial group. The trial group also showed higher clinical efficacy(95.83%)and nursing satisfaction(100.00%)compared to the control group(79.17%,81.25%),with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Targeted nursing interventions during the emergency management of patients with acute respiratory distress effectively improve clinical symptoms, reduce adverse emotions, and enhance clinical efficacy and nursing satisfaction.
