Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of oral Da Chai Hu Decoction combined with Mangxiao external application on the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome scores in patients with acute pancre-atitis.Methods A total of 100 patients with acute pancreatitis, treated at the Department of Gastroenterology,Sanming City Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital from January 2021 to January 2024,were randomly divided into two groups:the control group and the observation group. The control group received conventional Western medicine treatment, while the observation group was treated with oral Da Chai Hu Decoc-tion combined with Mangxiao external application. The therapeutic effects were compared between the two groups. Results The TCM syndrome score in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The observation group also exhibited lower levels of inflammatory factors compared to the control group(P<0.05).Furthermore,the gastrointestinal hormone levels in the observation group were more favorable(P<0.05),and the serum amylase and lipase levels were significantly lower in the observation group(P<0.05).Conclusion Da Chai Hu Decoction combined with Mangxiao external application can significantly improve the TCM syndrome score, reduce inflammatory factor levels, and regulate gastrointestinal hormone levels in patients with acute pancre-atitis.This treatment approach is worthy of further promotion.
