Abstract:Objective To analyze the effects of trauma emergency nursing interventions based on crisis theory in patients with coma due to traumatic brain injury. Methods A total of 86 patients who received treatment for trau-matic brain injury and coma at Qixingguan District People's Hospital in Bijie,Guizhou Province, from January 2023 to May 2024 were selected for this study.Based on the implementation of trauma emergency nursing models guided by crisis theory, patients were divided into two groups:the observation group(n=43),which received trauma emergen-cy nursing interventions guided by crisis theory, and the control group(n=43),which received traditional emergency nursing interventions. The two groups were compared in terms of emergency response time, neurological function, quality of life, incidence of complications, and overall nursing satisfaction. Results Patients in the observation group had significantly shorter diagnosis times, times from emergency admission to surgery, and effective rescue times(P<0.001).Prior to the intervention, there were no significant differences in neurological function scores(NIHSS and GCS)or quality of life scores between the two groups. After the intervention, all scores improved;notably, the observation group exhibited higher NIHSS scores and scores in social, emotional, physiological, and psychological functions compared to the control group(P<0.001),alongside lower GCS scores(P<0.001).Furthermore,the overall incidence of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P=0.001),and nursing satisfaction was significantly higher(P=0.003).Conclusion Trauma emergency nursing interventions guided by crisis theory reduced emergency response times for patients with coma due to traumatic brain in-jury,facilitated the recovery of neurological function, improved quality of life, increased nursing satisfaction, and decreased the risk of complications.
