Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy of the Maimetong minimally invasive rotational ex-cision technique compared to conventional tumor excision for benign breast lesions. Methods A total of 60 patients diagnosed with benign breast tumors who underwent surgical treatment at Pucheng County Hospital from January to October 2024 were selected.Based on a random number table method, patients were divided into two groups:the Maimetong minimally invasive rotational excision group(observation group)and the conventional tumor excision group(control group),with 30 patients in each group.Surgical-related indicators, postoperative cosmetic outcomes, levels of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),prolactin, microvascular density, and the incidence of postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results Compared to the con-trol group, patients in the observation group experienced significantly shorter surgical times, wound healing times, and hospital stays, along with reduced intraoperative blood loss and shorter incision lengths, with statistically sig-nificant differences(P<0.001).The observation group also had higher scores for cosmetic outcomes related to breast shape, nipple sensitivity, incision scars, and pigmentation(P<0.001).The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was lower(P<0.05).Within each group, postoperative comparisons showed a decrease in VEGF levels and an increase in prolactin levels, with no significant changes in microvascular density.Additionally, the observation group had lower VEGF and prolactin levels compared to the control group(P<0.001),while there were no significant intergroup differences in mi-crovascular density. Conclusion For patients with benign breast tumors, the Maimetong minimally invasive rotational excision technique can significantly reduce surgical duration, wound healing time, and hospital stay, decrease intraoperative blood loss, minimize the impact on breast aesthetics, and lower levels of vascular endothelial growth factor and prolactin, without significantly affect-ing microvascular density, while demonstrating high safety.
