Abstract:Objective To compare and analyze the clinical application value of Direct Digital Radiogra-phy(DR)and Computed Tomography(CT)in trauma patients in the emergency department, providing reference for improving the diagnostic efficiency in clinical emergency trauma cases. Methods A total of 100 trauma patients who visited the emergency department of Taizhou Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2023 to Jan-uary 2024 were selected as the study subjects. All patients underwent both DR(digital radiography)and spiral CT examinations. The final diagnosis was based on the clinical comprehensive diagnosis, and the study aimed to eval-uate the detection rates of DR and CT in emergency trauma cases.Additionally, the costs and time required for DR and CT examinations were compared. The occurrence rates of adverse events during the DR and CT procedures,as well as patient compliance during the examinations, were also recorded and compared. Results The detec-tion rate for trauma using DR was lower than that with CT,although the difference was not statistically significant(P=0.054).DR examination was significantly less expensive and required less time compared to CT,with statisti-cally significant differences(P<0.001).The incidence of adverse events during the examinations showed no signif-icant difference(P=0.407),and patient compliance with DR or CT was also similar, with no significant difference(P=0.516).Conclusion For emergency trauma patients,in most cases, digital radiography(DR)can provide di-agnostic information for clinical decision-making.Compared to CT scans,DR requires less diagnostic time, lower costs, and is generally better accepted by patients, with a higher level of safety.
