Abstract:Objective To study the current status of sedation and analgesia management for pre hospital emergency trauma patients in Honghe Prefecture,Yunnan Province, and to provide theoretical basis for sedation and analgesia management of pre hospital emergency trauma patients by analyzing the influencing factors of pain assessment and sedation and analgesia intervention. Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted on 212 pre hospital emergency personnel from 13 hospitals in Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture to understand their pain assessment and sedation and analgesia. And a retrospective analysis was conducted on 412 pre hospital emergency patients at the First People's Hospital of Honghe Prefecture to understand their situation of sedation and analgesia intervention. Results 60.4%of medical staff did not conduct pain assessment on pre hospital emer-gency patients.Factors such as gender, occupation, hospital level, professional title, and working hours of medical staff did not show significant differences between pain assessment and non assessment(P>0.05).The proportion of medical staff who received sedation and analgesia intervention was 29.2%and 70.8%,respectively.There were no statistically significant differences in the gen-der ratio of medical staff, the proportion of physicians and nurses, and the proportion of secondary and tertiary hospitals(P>0.05).The proportion of medical staff with junior, intermediate, and senior professional titles,as well as the proportion of those with working hours less than or equal to 5 years and those with working hours greater than 5 years, all showed statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Among 417 pre hospital emergency patients,85.1%did not receive sedation and analgesia intervention. The differences in factors such as patient age(>60 years old),mental status, respiratory rate(>20 times/min),and pain assessment between the intervention and non inter-vention groups were statistically significant(P<0.05),while there were no significant differences in factors such as gender, heart rate, systolic and diastolic blood pressure(P>0.05).Conclusion The factors that affect the sedation and analgesia intervention of pre hospital emergency medical staff mainly include their professional title, working hours,as well as the patient's age, mental state, respiratory rate, and whether they have undergone pain assessment. The current situation of pain assessment and sedation and analgesia intervention for pre hospital emergency trauma patients in Honghe Prefecture,Yunnan Province needs to be taken seriously and the implementation rate needs to be improved.
