Abstract:Objective To investigate the impact of air warming on perioperative hypothermia,complica-tions,collective stress, and inflammatory response in patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery. Methods A to-tal of 200 patients who underwent laparoscopic surgery at the First Hospital of Sanming City from February 2022 to May 2023 were selected and randomly divided into two groups using a random number table:the observation group (n=100) and the control group (n=100). The control group received conventional intraoperative warming interventions, while the observation group received air warming in addition to the standard interventions. The na-sopharyngeal temperature was measured at five time points:before anesthesia (T0),during anesthesia induction (T1),30 minutes after skin incision (T2),at the end of surgery (T3),and 10 minutes after entering the anesthesia recovery room (T4). The incidence of hypothermia and complications,as well as the changes in perioperative stress[epinephrine (E),norepinephrine (NE)]and inflammatory response[C-reactive protein (CRP),interleukin-6 (IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α)]were compared between the two groups. Results The nasopharyngeal tem-perature at T2,T3,and T4 in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of hypothermia (4.00%) and complications (4.00%) in the observation group were both significant-ly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Postoperatively, the levels of E and NE in the observation group were significantly lower on the first and third days compared to the control group (P<0.05),and these levels grad-ually increased thereafter. The inflammatory markers in the observation group also showed more favorable trends compared to the control group. Conclusion Air warming can effectively reduce the incidence of peri-operative hypothermia and complications, mitigate the stress response, and modulate inflammatory reactions in patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery. This intervention is a beneficial addition to standard warming strategies and deserves further clinical application.
