Abstract:Calcifying fibrous tumor (CFT) is a rare benign mesenchymal tumor, with multiple occurrences being extremely uncommon. It has a slight female predominance (57.3%). CFT can occur in any part of the body, with the most common locations being the stomach (18.6%) and small intestine (13.6%),followed by the pleura (9.5%),among others. Although CFT is most frequently found in the stomach, its low incidence makes preopera-tive diagnosis challenging, and these tumors are often misdiagnosed as other mesenchymal tumors, such as gastric stromal tumors (GSTs). This report presents two cases of CFT from our hospital, aiming to enhance awareness of this disease and guide its accurate diagnosis and treatment.
