Abstract:Objective To analyze the application value of a continuous care model in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)complicated by acute kidney injury(AKI).Methods A total of 86 patients with SLE and AKI treated at Fujian Provincial Hospital from October 2022 to April 2024 were included in the study.Patients were randomly divided into a continuous care group(observation group,n=43)and a conventional care group(control group,n=43).Clinical biochemical indicators and self-management abilities were compared between the two groups at different time points. Results One day before discharge, there were no significant differences between the two groups in clinical biochemical indicators or self-management abilities(P>0.05).Three months after discharge, both groups showed improvements in clinical biochemical indicators and self-management abilities(P<0.05).The obser-vation group had significantly lower levels of serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen compared to the control group(P<0.05),while urine output, total protein, and albumin levels were significantly higher(P<0.05).Additionally,the observation group scored significantly higher in all four aspects of self-management abilities and total score compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The continuous care model is beneficial for improving the recovery of clinical biochemical indicators and enhancing self-management abilities in patients with SLE complicated by AKI.
