Abstract:Objective To analyze the effectiveness of an optimized emergency care process in the treatment of comatose patients with intracerebral hemorrhage. Methods A retrospective study was conducted on 76 comatose patients with intracerebral hemorrhage admitted to Yellow River Sanmenxia Hospital from February 2023 to Febru-ary 2024.The patients were divided into an observation group(optimized emergency care,n=48)and a control group(conventional emergency care,n=48)based on different nursing protocols. The emergency response time,neurologi-cal function, activities of daily living, emergency outcomes, and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results During the emergency care process, the observation group showed significantly better perfor-mance in triage assessment, intravenous medication administration,CT examination, and overall emergency response time compared to the control group(P<0.001).Before the intervention, there were no significant differences in NIHSS scores for neurological function or Barthel Index scores for daily living abilities between the two groups(P>0.05).Af-ter nursing intervention, both groups showed improvements in NIHSS and Barthel scores(P<0.001),with the observa-tion group having lower NIHSS scores(P<0.001)and higher Barthel scores(P<0.001)than those of the control group. The observation group also had significantly higher rescue success rates and nursing satisfaction levels compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The optimized emergency care process effectively enhances the timeliness of emergency interventions, promotes recovery of neurological function and activities of daily living, increases the success rate of emergency rescues, and improves patient satisfaction with nursing care.
