Abstract:Objective To analyze the treatment methods and efficacy of deep corneal foreign body injury in emergency treatment, and provide guidance for clinical treatment. Methods The data of 82 patients with corneal deep foreign body injury admitted to Yinchuan Jinchuan Eye Hospital from January 2021 to January 2024 were col-lected.According to whether recombinant human epidermal growth factor(EGF)was given after surgery, they were divided into an observation group and a control group. The clinical efficacy, corneal healing, hospitalization time, and complications of the two groups were compared. Results The cure rate(67.44%)and effective rate(97.67%)in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(32.56%,79.07%),and the dif-ference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The corneal healing time and hospitalization time in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group(P<0.001).The incidence of complications in the observation group(4.65%)was significantly lower than that in the control group(20.93%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with deep corneal foreign body injury, emergency sur-gery to remove the foreign body in the deep cornea followed by levofloxacin combined with EGF eye drops can not only improve the clinical efficacy of the patient, but also shorten the wound healing time and hospitalization time, and reduce the incidence of complications.
