Abstract:Objective To explore strategies for training and promoting cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR)skills among rural residents. Methods A total of 954 rural residents from the Lipu City rural area, who were involved between August 2021 and August 2023,were selected as research subjects. The study analyzed the chang-es in the awareness rate of theoretical knowledge, theoretical and practical scores, and the pass rates of theoreti-cal and practical assessments before and after CPR training. Results After the training, the awareness rates of CPR-related skills, such as cardiac arrest management, chest compression location, chest compression depth, chest compression frequency, and the compression-to-ventilation ratio, significantly increased(P<0.001).There was no significant difference in the awareness rate of effective resuscitation indicators before and after training(P=0.090).Post-training,rural residents showed significant improvements in their theoretical and practical scores(P<0.001)as well as in the pass rates of both theoretical and practical assessments(P<0.001).Conclusion The implemen-tation of a"four-in-one"CPR training strategy for rural residents significantly enhances their mastery of both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in CPR.
