Research on the Application of Field Surgery/Emergency Medical Pods in Frontline Surgical Teams

Abstract:Objective To investigate the role of modified mobile surgical/emergency medical shelters in en-hancing the casualty treatment capabilities of Forward Surgical Teams(FST).Methods Data from 60 casualties suitable for FST treatment who were admitted to the mobile surgical/emergency medical shelters between January 2023 and December 2023 were collected.The study analyzed improvements in the shelter layout,the nature of inju-ries,rescue time,and treatment outcomes.Results The 60 casualties included cases of head trauma,limb injuries,chest and abdominal injuries,multiple trauma,and burns.After treatment,all injuries were effectively controlled,with a 100%rescue success rate.The observation and rescue times in the shelters medical ranged from 2 to 72 hours,with an average of(8.46±1.65)hours.Conclusion The dual-use design of the mobile surgical/emergency medical shel-ters enabled efficient operation of emergency equipment and significantly enhanced the treatment capacity of FSTs.
