Abstract:Objective To analyze the effectiveness of combining psychological care with damage control on lower limb trauma patients in addition to conventional emergency measures. Methods 84 patients with lower limb trauma admitted to our hospital from May 2021 to May 2023 were randomly divided into theobservation group and the control group, with 42 cases in each group. The observation group received psychological care and injury control, while the control group received traditional treatment. We compared the psychological status scores,com-pliance,satisfaction,knee joint function, ankle joint function, and postoperative complications between two groups of patients. Results After the intervention, the observation group exhibited significantly lower SAS and SDS scores compared to the control group(P<0.05).Additionally,the compliance scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Before surgery, there were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of clinical and functional scores of the knee joint, ankle joint function, pain, and alignment scores(P>0.05).Three months postoperatively, the observation group demonstrated significantly higher clinical and functional scores for the knee joint,as well as improved ankle joint function, pain relief, and alignment scores compared to the control group(P<0.05).Additionally,the incidence of postoperative complications was sig-nificantly lower in the observation group(2.38%)compared to the control group(19.05%)(P<0.05).Conclusion Combining psychological care with damage control can effectively alleviate anxiety and depression in lower limb trauma patients, enhance patient compliance, promote the recovery of lower limb function, and reduce postoperative complications.
