Abstract:Objective To explore the comprehensive cooling emergency care model in order to reduce the symptoms of febrile convulsion caused by upper respiratory tract infection in children. Methods Ninety children with febrile seizures caused by upper respiratory tract infections admitted to the Department of Pediatrics at Shengli Oilfield Central Hospital from May 2023 to February 2024 were selected. The random number table method was used as the grouping basis to divide the children into the control group and the study group, with 45 cases in each group. The control group received routine emergency care, while the study group received comprehensive nursing with cooling emergency care on the basis of routine emergency care. The symptoms and seizure situation of the two groups of children were compared. Results The disappearance of convulsions, fever reduction, and hospital stay in the study group were significantly shorter than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Seizures did not occur in the study group, while seizures and convulsion recurred in the control group accounted for 17.78%and 15.56%,respectively.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion For children with febrile convulsion caused by respiratory tract infection, providing comprehensive cooling emergency care can help to shorten the time of disappearance of convulsion, the time of fever remission, and hospitalization, reduce the rate of complications and convulsion recurrence, and improve the nursing satisfaction of parents.
