Clinical Value of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Improving Psychological Distress in Diabetic Patients

Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinical value of cognitive behavioral therapy in alleviate psychological distress in diabetic patients.Methods 200 diabetes patients in our hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were selected and divided into the experimental group and the control group according to random number table method,with 100 cases in each group.The control group received conventional intervention,and the experimental group received cognitive behavioral therapy on the basis of the control group.The psychological status,Self-Rating Depression(SDS)score,self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)score,Diabetes Pain Scale(DDS)score,Diabetes Self management Scale(SDSCA-6)score,Pittsburgh Sleep Index Scale(PSQI)score,and Comprehensive Quality of Life Assessment Scale(GQOLI-74)score of the two groups are compared.Results After intervention,the scores of SDS and SAS in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,the scores of emotional burden,life regularity,doctor correlation,and interpersonal relationship in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,diet control,exercise management,blood glucose monitoring and medical drug scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).After the intervention,the PSQI score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,the scores of physical function,psychological function,social function and overall health of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Cognitive behavioral therapy can improve the psychological state,relieve psychological pain,improve self-management efficiency,improve sleep quality,and improve quality of life of diabetic patients.
