Abstract:Objective To study the clinical application value of metabolic markers in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Methods 120 elderly BPH patients were collected from July 2021 to December 2022 as the elderly BPH group.120 healthy cases are selected as the heathy control group. The glucose and lipid metabolism related indicators and BPH related indicators of the two groups were statistically analyzed, and binary logistic regression model is used to analyze the risk factors for elderly BPH.Results Comparing with the healthy control group, the body mass index of the elderly BPH group was higher(P<0.05),and the diastolic blood pressure of the elderly BPH group(P<0.05).The levels of FBG,TC,TG,HDL-C,and LDL-C in the elderly BPH group were lower than those in the healthy control group(P<0.05),the PV of the elderly BPH group was higher than that in the healthy control group(P<0.05),the IPSS score of the elderly BPH group was higher than that in the healthy control group(P<0.05),and the Qmax of the elderly BPH group was lower than that in the healthy control group(P<0.05).Through further logistic regression analysis,we found that the risk factors for elderly BPH include high body mass index, hypertension, high FBG,high TG,and high LDL-C(P<0.05).Conclusion Metabolic markers have high clinical application value in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
