Bivalirudin in treatment of acute coronary syndrome with percutaneous coronary intervention:a brief review

Abstract:Bivalirudin is a direct antithrombin inhibitor, which has been proven by large clinical studies and basic researches that could replace unfractionated heparin (UFH) plus platelet glycoproteinⅡb/Ⅲa receptor antagonist in the antithrombotic therapy of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention.This article reviews the advance in research of bivalirudin in treatment of ACS with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
