Abstract:Mitral regurgitation (MR) has a high prevalence in older patient populations, obviously decreases survival rates. Due to the high incidence of complications and risks, transcatheter repair/replacement is emerging as treatment options for these patients with mitral regurgitation. Because of the lack of direct visualization, peri-procedural imaging is critical for these procedures. In this review, the author summarizes imaging in the context of transcatheter mitral valve interventional therapy.
