Abstract:Fatty-acid-binding protein 4 (FABP4), as a well-studied subtype in FABP family, plays an important role in intracellular lipid exchange, metabolism and signal transduction. Confirmed as a key neurotransmitter in metabolism and inflammatory response, FABP4 serves as a potential target in the treatment of glucose and lipid metabolish, asthma, cancer, etc. So far, the targeted therapy of FABP4 has been included in the immune treatment of relevant diseases. It is now in the phase of animal experiments and could be a potential therapeutic strategy for related diseases.
