Advancement of posterior surgical treatment of multilevel cervical spondylotic myelopathy

Abstract:Multilevel cervical spondylotic myelopathy (MCSM) is a common disease in spine surgery. Due to its severe clinical symptoms, and influence of patient’s life quality and safety, so the disease should be treated with surgery as far as quickly once diagnosis is clear. Posterior cervical spine surgery is a commonly used surgical approach. This article reviews the advancement of its treatment and common complications.
