Research progresses on the cognitive impairment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy children

Abstract：Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a X-linked hereditary neuromuscular disorder. About 1/3 of DMD patients have cognitive impairment. Recent years, the central nervous system impairment and gene mutation are recognized as causes of cognitive impairment in DMD patients. The author reviews the recent advances in the cognitive impairment of DMD.
