Research progress on the source of seed cells in cartilage tissue engineering

Abstract：The morbidity of articular cartilage defects is high. Consequently, life qualities of patients with articular cartilage defects are severely affected; effects of traditional treatment are not good. Tissue engineering techniques has been applied to preliminary clinical practice which showed a promising approach for reparation of cartilage defect. This review focuses on the research development regarding seed cells of cartilage tissue engineering.
