Abstract:Objective To study the effects of different intensities of exercise intervention on blood pressure levels, microvascular reactivity(MR),and left ventricular diastolic function(LVDF)in elderly patients with hypertension. Methods A total of 120 elderly patients with hypertension admitted to Shijiazhuang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Guanghua Branch from January 2022 to December 2024 were selected and randomly divided into the mild group(n=40),the moderate group(n=40),and the control group(n=40)using a random number table. All three groups received oral levamlodipine maleate tablets.Based on drug treatment, the mild group received mild exercise intervention, and the moderate group received moderate exercise intervention.Systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, sleep quality,MR indicators[baseline value of microvascular blood perfusion(BV),peak value after skin heating to 44 ℃(VH)],LVDF indicators[mitral A peak(A),mitral E peak(E),and E/A ratio],and adverse reactions during the intervention were compared among the three groups before and after intervention. Results After the intervention, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)score,BV,and A value decreased in the three groups(P<0.05),and the mild and moderate groups were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),with the moderate group lower than the mild group(P<0.05).After the intervention,VH,E value, and E/A ratio increased in the three groups(P<0.05),and the mild and moderate groups were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),with the moderate group higher than the mild group(P<0.05).During the intervention period, there were no significant adverse reactions in any of the three groups. Conclusion Under the conditions of this study, compared with mild exercise intervention, moderate exercise intervention not only has a better effect on controlling blood pressure in elderly patients with hypertension, but also can improve their sleep quality and MR,and enhance LVDF.Moreover, both intensities of exercise intervention showed no obvious adverse reactions.
