Abstract:Objective To explore the relationship between psychiatric symptoms of first-episode schizophrenia in adolescents and parent-child relationship and psychological resilience. Methods A total of 120 adolescent patients with first-episode schizophrenia admitted to the Affiliated Brain Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from June 2023 to January 2025 were selected as the study group.Additionally,95 adolescents who underwent physical examinations in the same hospital during the same period were chosen as the control group. The Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale(PANSS)was used to assess the psychiatric symptoms of the patients.The"parent-child relationship"dimension of the Quality of Life Scale for Children and Adolescents and the Chinese Version of the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC)were employed to evaluate the parent-child relationship and psychological resilience level of the subjects.Pearson correlation analysis was applied to explore the relationships between psychiatric symptoms and the scores of parent-child relationship as well as psychological resilience in adolescent patients with schizophrenia.Multiple linear regression analysis was used to identify the influencing factors of psychiatric symptoms in adolescents with first-episode schizophrenia. Results The PANSS score of 120 adolescent patients with first-episode schizophrenia was(90.98±6.38)points.The parent-child relationship score and CD-RISC score in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group[(37.32±10.64)points vs(44.37±9.58)points,P<0.001;(58.75±10.17)points vs(74.25±11.34)points,P<0.001].Pearson correlation analysis showed that the parent-child relationship score and CD-RISC score were negatively correlated with the PANSS score(r=-0.462,-0.506,P<0.001).Univariate analysis indicated that there were significant differences in psychiatric symptoms among adolescent patients with schizophrenia in terms of different places of residence, family structures, per capita monthly family income, and personality traits(P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that introverted personality, per capita monthly family income<5 000 yuan, lower parent-child relationship score, and lower CD-RISC score were independent risk factors for psychiatric symptoms in adolescents with first-episode schizophrenia(P<0.05).Conclusion There is a significant correlation between psychiatric symptoms of first-episode schizophrenia in adolescents and parent-child relationship and psychological resilience.Improving these two aspects can help control the condition of the patients.
