Association between PDK1 and Trim37 Expression Levels and the Clinicopathological Characteristics and Prognosis of Breast Cancer Patients

Abstract：Objective To analyze the relationship between the expression levels of phosphoinositide-dependent kinase 1(PDK1)and tripartite motif-containing 37(Trim37)and the clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis of breast cancer patients.Methods A total of 84 breast cancer patients admitted to Chengde Central Hospital between December 2016 and December 2019 were selected as the study subjects.Clinicopathological data of all patients were collected.The expression levels of PDK1 and Trim37 in breast cancer tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry.The Kaplan-Meier method was used to analyze the relationship between PDK1,Trim37 expression and prognosis.Cox proportional hazards regression model was used to analyze the factors influencing prognosis.Results The positive expression rates of PDK1 and Trim37 in cancer tissues were significantly higher than those in adjacent tissues(P<0.05).The expression of PDK1 and Trim37 was correlated with the invasion type,TNM stage,and differentiation degree of breast cancer patients(P<0.05).Special invasion type,TNM stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ,positive expression of PDK1,and positive expression of Trim37 were risk factors for the prognosis of breast cancer patients(P<0.05),while moderate-high differentiation was a protective factor for prognosis(P<0.05).The five-year survival rate of patients with negative PDK1 expression(87.18%)was significantly higher than that of patients with positive expression(77.78%).The five-year survival rate of patients with negative Trim37 expression(87.50%)was significantly higher than that of patients with positive expression(77.27%).Conclusion The expression levels of PDK1 and Trim37 are closely related to the clinicopathological characteristics of breast cancer patients,and patients with positive expression of PDK1 and Trim37 have lower survival rates.
