Abstract:Enhancer RNA(eRNA)is an emerging type of non-coding RNA that is increasingly recognized for its role in regulating gene expression and in disease development.Recent studies have highlighted the importance of eRNA in cancer, particularly nasopharyngeal carcinoma.Research indicates that eRNA can achieve long-range regulation through loop formation mechanisms, influencing the expression of genes associated with metastasis in nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells. It can also modify chromatin structure, thereby regulating gene accessibility and transcriptional activity. This review summarizes the research progress on eRNA and its mechanisms of action in nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
