Application Value of Arthroscopic Meniscoplasty in Patients with Knee Meniscus Injury

Abstract：Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of arthroscopic meniscoplasty in patients with knee meniscus injury(KMI).Methods A total of 156 patients with MRI grade Ⅱ-Ⅲ KMI who were admitted to the Xigaze Branch of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Army Medical University between January 2021 and December 2022 were retrospectively enrolled.According to the surgical procedure,they were divided into an observation group(80 cases)and a control group(76 cases).The observation group underwent arthroscopic meniscoplasty,while the control group underwent arthroscopic meniscectomy.Treatment outcomes and complication rates were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate was significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(95.00%vs 82.89%,P<0.05).Postoperative Lyrsholm Knee Score and range of motion were significantly higher in the observation group,while the visual analog scale score was significantly lower compared with the control group,and the difference was statistically significant[(89.63±4.87)points vs(83.15±5.02)points,P<0.01;(135.27±8.64)° vs(123.41±9.03)°,P<0.01;(1.42±0.31)points vs(1.98±0.35)points,P<0.01].The complication rate was significantly lower in the observation group,while the excellent-good rate of meniscal healing was significantly higher,and the difference was statistically significant(3.75%vs 13.16%,P<0.05;86.25%vs 68.42%,P<0.05).Conclusion Arthroscopic meniscoplasty is more effective in treating KMI,providing rapid pain relief and promoting the recovery of joint function.
