Effects of Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Dropping Pills on Cerebrovascular Stenosis and Serum ApoA1,ApoB,LP(a),Hcy Levels in Acute Cerebral Infarction Patients

Abstract：Objective To analyze the effect of Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Dropping Pills on the degree of cerebrovascular stenosis and the levels of serum apolipoprotein A1(ApoA1),apolipoprotein B(ApoB),lipoprotein(a)[LP(a)],and homocysteine(Hcy)in patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI).Methods A single-center,randomized,evaluator-single-blind controlled trial included 172 ACI patients admitted to Qianshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to November 2023.Participants were divided into the routine group(86 cases)and the Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Dropping Pills group(86 cases)using a random number table.The conventional group received oral aspirin enteric-coated tablets and atorvastatin calcium tablets,while the Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Dropping Pills group received additional Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Dropping Pills.Both groups were treated for 8 weeks.The degree of cerebrovascular stenosis,TCM syndrome scores,neurological deficit(NIHSS),independent living ability(mRS),serum levels of ApoA1,ApoB,LP(a),Hcy,as well as markers of oxidative stress and brain tissue damage were compared before and after treatment.Adverse reactions were recorded.Results Compared with pre-treatment,both groups showed improved cerebrovascular stenosis(P<0.05),with greater improvement in the Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Dropping Pills group(P<0.05).TCM syndrome scores,NIHSS scores,mRS scores,and serum levels of ApoB,LP(a),Hcy,MPO,and NSE decreased in both groups(P<0.05),with lower levels in the Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Dropping Pills group(P<0.05).Serum ApoA1,SOD,and VEGF levels increased in both groups(P<0.05),with higher levels in the Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Dropping Pills group(P<0.05).No significant difference in adverse reaction rates was observed(P>0.05).Conclusion Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Dropping Pills can improve cerebrovascular stenosis,regulate serum ApoA1,ApoB,LP(a),and Hcy levels,inhibit atherosclerosis progression,alleviate oxidative stress and brain tissue damage,improve TCM syndromes,neurological function,and independent living ability,with good safety.
