Clinical Study of Danbie Capsule Combined with Medroxyprogesterone Acetate in Treating Pelvic Congestion Syndrome Cases with Syndrome of Qi-Stagnation and Blood-Stasis

Abstract：Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Danbie capsule combined with Medroxyprogesterone acetate in treating pelvic congestion syndrome(PCS)with qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome.Methods A total of 102 PCS patients admitted to Nantong Third People's Hospital from February 2023 to February 2024 were selected and divided into a control group(51 cases)and a treatment group(51 cases)using the random number table method.The control group received Medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets,while the treatment group received Medroxyprogesterone acetate plus Danbie capsule.Both groups were treated for 8 weeks.We compared the Pelvic Venous Clinical Severity Scale(PVCSS)scores,Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)scores,total scores of qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome,pelvic hemodynamics,serum prostaglandin E2(PGE2)and prostaglandin F2α(PGF2α)levels between the two groups,and recorded adverse reactions.Results After 4 and 8 weeks of treatment,PVCSS scores in both groups decreased compared to baseline,with the treatment group showing lower scores than the control group(P<0.05).Post-treatment VAS scores and qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome scores were lower than baseline in both groups;in the treatment group,these scores[(1.47±0.29)points,(4.44±0.59)points]were lower than those in the control group[(2.03±0.35)points,(6.63±0.81)points](P<0.05).Post-treatment uterine arcuate venous blood flow velocity and internal iliac venous blood flow velocity increased in both groups versus baseline,with the treatment group higher than the control group(P<0.05).Uterine artery and ovarian artery resistance indices decreased in both groups after treatment,with the treatment group lower than the control group(P<0.05).Serum PGF2α and PGE2 levels decreased in both groups post-treatment,with the treatment group lower than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Danbie capsule combined with Medroxyprogesterone acetate significantly improves PCS with qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome,alleviating pain and symptoms,enhancing pelvic hemodynamics,and reducing serum PGF2α and PGE2 levels.
