Clinical Study of Compound Xuanju Capsules Combined with Clomiphene Citrate or Letrozole in Treating Ovulation Disorders Type Infertility

Abstract：Objective To study the clinical efficacy of compound Xuanju capsules combined with clomiphene citrate or letrozole in treating ovulation disorders type infertility.Methods A total of 206 patients with ovulatory dysfunction infer-tility(ODI)were selected as subjects,all were diagnosed at the Second People's Hospital of Hengshui City from October 2021 to October 2023,and they were randomly divided into a clomiphene group(103 cases)and a letrozole group(103 cases)using a random number table method.The patients in the clomiphene group were treated with compound Xuanju capsules and clo-miphene citrate,while the letrozole group was treated with compound Xuanju capsules and letrozole.Both groups were treated continuously for three menstrual cycles.The clinical efficacy,ovulation rate,pregnancy rate,endometrial thickness,maximum follicle diameter,follicle maturation time,sex hormone levels,adipokines,and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate in the letrozole group was 94.17%,significantly higher than that in the clomiphene group(85.44%),with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of estradiol(E2),progesterone(P),follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),and luteinizing hormone(LH)increased significantly in both groups,and were higher in the letrozole group than in the clomiphene group(P<0.05).The ovulation rate in the letrozole group was 72.82%and the pregnancy rate was 45.63%,significantly higher than those in the clomiphene group(59.22%and 31.07%,respectively)(P<0.05).After treatment,endometrial thickness and maximum follicle diameter increased significantly,and follicle maturation time shortened significantly in both groups(P<0.05);furthermore,endometrial thickness and maximum follicle diameter were greater in the letrozole group than in the clomiphene group,and follicle maturation time was shorter in the letrozole group than in the clomiphene group(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of leptin(LP)and visfatin(VF)decreased significantly in both groups,and were lower in the letrozole group than in the clomiphene group(P<0.05);the level of adiponectin(APN)increased signifi-cantly in both groups,and was higher in the letrozole group than in the clomiphene group(P<0.05).The total incidence of ad-verse reactions in the letrozole group was 5.83%,compared to 11.65%in the clomiphene group,with no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion Compared with the combination of Compound Xuanju capsules and clomiphene citrate,the combination of Compound Xuanju capsules and letrozole has a better clinical effect on ODI,improves hormone levels,increases ovulation and pregnancy rates,and has higher safety.
