The Effect of Qidong Yixin Granules as An Adjuvant Therapy on Cardiac Function and VEGF/VEGFR2 Signaling Pathway in Patients with Chronic Heart Failure

Abstract：Objective To investigate the clinical effect of combined Qidong Yixin granules in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods A total of 114 patients with CHF admitted to the People's Hospital of Wenjiang District,Chengdu City from February 2020 to May 2023 were selected and divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method,with 57 patients in each group.Both groups were given basic treatment.On this basis,the control group was given bisoprolol,and the observation group was given bisoprolol plus Qidong Yixin granules,both for 2 consecutive months.The effi-cacy of the two groups,the scores of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)symptoms before and after treatment,cardiac function[left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),left ventricular end-systolic diameter(LVESD)],hemorheology[hematocrit,plasma viscosity,whole blood low shear viscosity,and whole blood high shear viscosity],vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),soluble VEGF receptor 2(sVEGFR-2),and prognosis[Minnesota Heart Failure Qual-ity of Life Questionnaire(MLHFQ)score,6-minute walking test(6MWT)distance]were compared and analyzed.Results The total effective rate of TCM syndrome was 91.23%(52/57)and that of cardiac function was 89.47%(51/57)in the observation group,which were higher than those in the control group[TCM syndrome]75.44%(42/57)and[cardiac function]71.93%(41/57)(P<0.05).The main disease,secondary disease and total scores of the observation group after 1 month and 2 months of treatment were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).After 1 month and 2 months of treatment,LVESD and LVEDD in the obser-vation group were lower than those in the control group,and LVEF was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Hematocrit,VEGF,plasma viscosity,whole blood low tangential viscosity,sVEGFR-2 and whole blood high tangential viscosity in observa-tion group were lower than those in the control group after 1 month and 2 months of treatment(P<0.05).The MLHFQ scores of the observation group at 1 month and 2 months after treatment were lower than those of the control group,and the 6MWT distance was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Qidong Yixin granules combined with bisoprolol for CHF can regulate VEGF/VEGFR2 signaling pathway and hemorheology,alleviate endothelial tissue injury,and thereby improve cardiac function,alleviate clinical symptoms and improve quality of life.The clinical application effect is reliable.
