Abstract:Objective To observe the therapeutic efficacy of modified Guipi decoction combined with methylprednis-olone on children with Henoch-Schonlein purpura(HSP)of Qi failing to control blood type. Methods From September 2021 to September 2023,108 children with HSP of Qi failing to control blood type admitted to our hospital were randomly assigned via a random number table method into two groups:the control group(n=54)received methylprednisolone alone, and the test group(n=54)received modified Guipi decoction combined with methylprednisolone.Therapeutic efficacy, common symptom abatement time, immune level, renal function, adverse effects and recurrence rate were compared, and statistical analysis of the occurrence and treatment of purpura nephritis. Results The total effective rate of the test group(94.44%)was higher than that in the control group(77.78%)(P<0.05).The resolution time for skin purpura, gastrointestinal symptoms, and arthritis/arthralgia was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+of the two groups were higher than before treatment(P<0.05),and the test group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, immunoglobulin A(IgA),IgE,IgM,serum creatinine, and blood urea nitrogen were lower than before treatment in both groups(P<0.05),with the test group showing lower values than the control group(P<0.05).No statistically significant difference was observed in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the test group and the control group(P>0.05).At 6-month follow-up,the recurrence rate in the test group(3.57%)was lower than in the control group(41.18%)(P=0.003).The incidence of purpura nephritis in the test group(31.48%)was lower than that in the control group(53.70%)(P<0.05).Additionally,the total effective rate(94.12%)was higher than that in the control group(62.07%)(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination therapy of modified Guipi decoction and methylprednisolone demonstrates significant efficacy in children with HSP of Qi failing to control blood type, which can shorten the disappearance time of common symptoms, improve the immune level and renal function, reduce the recurrence rates and the occurrence of purpura nephritis, with a high degree of safety.
