Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinical effect of acupuncture at Jingtong acupoint combined with neck resistance training on treating cervical spondylotic radiculopathy(CSR).Methods The clinical data of 120 CSR patients treated in the Rehabilitation Medicine Department of the 73rd Group Military Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army from May 2022 to June 2024 were retrospectively analyzed. They were divided into the control group(conventional traction+cexoxib capsule)and observation group(conventional traction+cexoxib capsule+acupuncture at Jingtong acupoint+neck resistance training)according to different treatment plans, with 60 cases per group. The efficacy and complications of the two groups were compared. The degree of pain was assessed by the McGill Pain Questionnaire. The Tanaka Yasuhisa Cervical spondylosis Symptom Scale and the neck Functional Disability Index(NDI)were used to measure cervical mobility(forward and backward flexion and extension, left and right flexion, left and right rotation). Results The total effective rate was significantly higher in the observation group than the control group(96.67%[58/60]vs.85.00%[51/60],P<0.05).There was no difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the McGill Pain Questionnaire score,Tanaka Yasuhusa Cervical Spondylosis Symptom Scale score, cervical motion and NDI scores were significantly improved in both groups, and they were significantly superior in the observation group than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture at Jingtong acupoint combined with neck resistance training has good clinical effect in the treatment of CSR,which can better improve the cervical spine function, relieve the pain, with fewer complications. It is safe and reliable.
