Abstract:Objective To observe the expression of Golgi Phosphoprotein 3(GOLPH3)in cervical cancer tissues and explore its relationship with the effect of simultaneous chemoradiotherapy. Methods A total of 104 cervical cancer patients undergoing simultaneous chemoradiotherapy(malignant group)and 98 benign cervical tumor patients(benign group)treated at the PLA Air Force 986 Hospital were selected from January 2019 to July 2022.The expressions of GOLPH3 protein in tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry, and the positive expression rates of GOLPH3 protein were compared between the two groups.Patients in the malignant group received simultaneous chemoradiotherapy for three courses, and the therapeutic effect was evaluated. The positive expression rates of GOLPH3 protein in cancer tissues between ineffective and effective patients in the malignant group were compared.Logistic regression analysis was used to assess the relationship between the positive expression of GOLPH3 protein and the effect of simultaneous chemoradiotherapy. Results The positive expression rate of GOLPH3 protein in malignant tissues was higher than that in benign tissues(P<0.05).In the malignant group, the ineffective rate of response to simultaneous chemoradiotherapy was 46.15%(48/104).The positive expression rate of GOLPH3 protein in ineffective patients was higher than effective patients(P<0.05).FIGO stages Ⅲ-Ⅳ,undifferentiated/poor differentiation, lymph node metastasis, and positive expression of GOLPH3 protein in cancer tissues were factors influencing the effect of simultaneous chemoradiotherapy(OR=4.870,5.323,5.414,5.607;P<0.05).Conclusion Compared to benign cervical tumor tissues, the GOLPH3 protein positive expression rate in cervical cancer tissues is higher.FIGO stages Ⅲ-Ⅳ,undifferentiated/poor differentiation, lymph node metastasis, and GOLPH3 protein positive expression in cancer tissues increase the risk of ineffective simultaneous chemoradiotherapy in cervical cancer patients.
