Abstract:Objective To explore the risk factors for augmented renal clearance(ARC)in critically ill patients. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 170 critically ill patients admitted to the Department of Critical Care Medicine,Huangshan City People's Hospital from June 2021 to February 2022.Basic information on ICU admission and relevant clinical data during treatment were collected.Patients were divided into the ARC and non-ARC group based on whether ARC occurred.Univariate analysis and Logistic regression analysis were employed to identify the potential risk factors affecting ARC.Results Univariate analysis demonstrated that 43(25.3%)patients were diagnosed with ARC.Disease type, age, body mass index(BMI),the Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation Ⅱ(APACHE Ⅱ)score, the Nutrition Risk in Critically Ill(NUTRIC)score,C-reactive protein(CRP),albumin(Alb),serum creatinine(SCr),and blood urea nitrogen(BUN)on ICU admission were associated with ARC.Multivariate analysis indicated that trauma(OR=3.378,95%CI:1.615-7.067;P=0.001),age(OR=0.935,95%CI:0.906-0.965;P<0.01),and SCr on ICU admission(OR=0.983,95%CI:0.972-0.995;P<0.004)were risk factors for ARC in critically ill patients. Conclusion Trauma, age, and SCr on ICU admission are risk factors for ARC in critically ill patients.
