Abstract:Objective To investigate the predictive value of serum CC chemokine ligand-7(CCL7)and interleukin-10(IL-10)expression for biliary tract infection after percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage(PTBD)in patients with obstructive jaundice. Methods A total of 62 patients with obstructive jaundice who underwent PTBD drainage and developed biliary tract infection, admitted to the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery of our hospital from January 2021 to January 2024,were selected as the infected group.76 patients with obstructive jaundice who underwent PTBD drainage for the first time without biliary tract infection were selected as the non-infected group, and 80 healthy individuals undergoing physical examination during the same period were selected as the control group.Serum CCL7 and IL-10 levels were detected by ELISA.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was conducted to determine factors influencing biliary tract infections after PTBD,and ROC analysis was used to assess the predictive value of serum CCL7 and IL-10 levels for biliary tract infections. Results Serum CCL7 in the infected group>non-infected group>control group, and serum IL-10 in the infected group<non-infected group<control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).CCL7 and IL-10 levels were found to be significant influencing factors for biliary tract infections after surgery(P<0.05).ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve(AUC)for CCL7,IL-10,and their combination for predicting biliary tract infections were 0.839(95%CI:0.757-0.921),0.815(95%CI:0.730-0.900),and 0.929(95%CI:0.878-0.979),respectively.Combined detection showed better predictive efficacy than single markers. Conclusion Serum CCL7 levels are increased, and IL-10 levels are decreased in patients with obstructive jaundice who develop biliary tract infections after PTBD.These indicators are closely related to infection and may serve as potential diagnostic markers.
