Abstract:Objective To analyze the effects of shoulder trigger point extracorporeal shock wave combined with core muscle group exercise training on shoulder joint function and tendon elasticity in patients with rotator cuff injury. Methods 102 patients with rotator cuff injuries admitted to Nanjing Tongren Hospital Affiliated to Southeast University School of Medicine from July 2021 to October 2024 were randomly divided into two groups. The control group received shoulder trigger point extracorporeal shock wave combined with conventional training, while the observation group received shoulder trigger point extracorporeal shock wave combined with core muscle group exercise training for 12 weeks.Clinical efficacy, shoulder joint function, shoulder joint range of motion, and tendon elasticity were evaluated and compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was significantly higher(P<0.05).After intervention, the observation group showed higher scores in all Constant-Murley items compared to the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the shoulder joint external rotation angle, shoulder joint abduc-tion angle, and shoulder joint flexion angle of the observation group were all higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the elasticity of the shoulder joint tendons of the infraspinatus, supraspinatus, teres minor, and infrascapular muscles in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Patients with rotator cuff injuries re-ceiving treatment at the shoulder trigger point and core muscle group exercise training can effectively improve shoulder joint func-tion and tendon elasticity.
