Abstract:Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Gushen Yizhi Decoction combined with Madopar in the treatment of vascular Parkinson's syndrome(VP).Methods A total of 80 VP patients admitted to the Department of Neurology,Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital,Huairou Branch, from January 2022 to January 2024 were included.Patients were randomly divided into a control group(40 cases)and an observation group(40 cases)using the random number table method. The control group received Madopar monotherapy, while the observation group received Gushen Yizhi Decoction combined with Madopar therapy. Both groups were treated for 8 weeks. The treatment outcomes, including clinical symptoms[Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale(UPDRS)],cerebral neurotrophic factors[nerve growth factor(NGF),brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF)],blood rheological parameters[whole blood high-shear viscosity(HS),whole blood low-shear viscosity(LS),plasma viscosity(PV),platelet aggregation rate(PAA)],and adverse reactions, were compared between the groups. Results The observation group demonstrated a significantly higher total effective rate(90.00%)compared to the control group(70.00%)(P<0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment, the UPDRS scores,HS,LS,PV,and PAA levels in both groups significantly decreased(P<0.05),with the observation group showing lower values compared to the control group(P<0.05).Meanwhile,NGF and BDNF levels in both groups significantly increased(P<0.05),with the observation group exhibiting higher levels than the control group(P<0.05).No statistically significant difference was observed in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion GushenYizhi Decoction combined with Madopar is effective for treating VP,alleviating clinical symptoms, enhancing cerebral neurotrophic factor levels, improving blood rheology, and exhibiting good safety.
