Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of acupuncture combined with limb training on gait parameters, hemodynamic parameters, inflammatory levels of stroke hemiplegia patients. Methods A total of 126 stroke hemiplegia patients admitted to the Rehabilitation Department of Langxi County People's Hospital from January 2022 to June 2023 were selected as participants and divided into the control group and observation group according to a random number table, with 63 cases each. The control group received conventional treatment+limb training, and the observation group received acupuncture and medicine on the basis of the control group using the program[acupuncture(acupuncture point head needle, wrist and ankle needle, twelve meridians)+flavored nourishing Yang and five soup].Comparing clinical efficacy and pre-treatment gait parameters[stride regularity(SR),acceleration root mean square(RMS)],hemodynamic(arterial blood flow velocity in anterior, middle, and posterior brain),inflammatory levels[tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-1β(IL-1β)],limb function[Fugl-Meyer Motor Function Rating Scale(FMA),and Braging Scale(Brunnstrom)].Results The total response rate(93.65%vs 80.95%)in the observation group was significantly higher than in the control group(P<0.05).In the X,Y,Z axes,SR,step speed, step length,Brunnstrom stage,FMA score, and anterior, middle, and posterior cerebral arterial blood flow velocity in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group.Conversely,RMS,IL-1β,and TNF-α levels in the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture and herbal medicine combined with limb training can improve gait, limb function, and hemodynamic parameters in stroke patients with hemiplegia, and reduce inflammation levels.
